Wow! What a week it's been.
On the eve of our closing, I woke up in the night with a fever and chills. Whatever's been going around my kids hit me, too. I've been waiting on the dr. to call in meds, but he didn't do it before the holiday weekend started, so I have to wait until Monday. The fever comes and goes so I try to keep up with the mucinex and advil as best as I can...
Alex woke up closing morning with the cough, too so I've been doctoring him with Mucinex and tylenol, too. He hasn't complained a bit. I don't know how he can stand it...unless the bug didn't hit him as hard as me.
We aren't quite moved out of the old house yet, but today we are trying to move everything out. If the weather would cooperate, that is. If we don't get it all the way out today, we'll just clean all the empty rooms and move the stuff tomorrow morning. Hopefully, Allen can get some people to help him move the stuff to the new house while I do the cleaning...
We've slept 2 nights in the new house. I love how bright it is there. The first night, we had some weird electrical thing happen that caused our fan, clock and one of the kids' nightlights to burn out. Because of that, we were afraid to turn on the AC and we were awake for a lot of the night. The 2nd night was worse...it stormed and we lost power...got it back...lost it again...got it back. Awful sleep for another night.
Pray for us as we get adjusted to a new place. It's older and hasn't been lived in in a while, so we expect some issues. I just hope there aren't too many more!
